My classes and coaching specifically focus on building self-efficacy, the more important type of confidence for success. I use research from science, psychology, behavior along with basic common sense to figure out - along with you: Clarity around goals and obstacles, with a foundation of your values and motivations.
Hi, I’m Kathy
This is going to be us! Talking on the phone! (or Zooming - whatever works for you). My name is Kathy Korman Frey. I love working with women from all over the world, as well "Type A" personalities who tend to be hard on themselves. My particular background has allowed me to work with nonprofits, small business, venture-funded starts ups, academia, government, and the corporate sector. For almost 20 years I've taught at the George Washington University School of Business where I helped develop the award-winning Women's Entrepreneurial Leadership class. Featured in my classes both in and outside of GW are cases from the Hot Mommas Project, an ed tech venture I founded with the help of several partners featuring diverse role models and mentors from around the world. My classes and coaching specifically focus on building self-efficacy, the more important type of confidence for success. I have my MBA from Harvard Business School and an undergrad in English Lit and Writing from The University of Virginia. I studied the Science of Coaching Psychology at Harvard and am trained as a coach by CTI, considered the gold standard in coaching. One "mind blowing" thing I learned during my studies is the G-Force level of change in our world right now, and how we have to adapt as a result. So, you're not crazy: Things are more intense and faster than EVER before. This is one reason coaching is a MUST in today's society. A lot of coaching is about listening, creating a time to focus on you - in a way you normally don't, and empowering you through the solutions. If you do too much, it can backfire. If you have a coach who really just tells you what to do, it can backfire. I am fascinated by people and their stories. Can't wait to hear yours.
